Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary Compiles, maintains and verifies images of accounts payable records by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities Compares physical copies of accounts payable documents to scanned documents that have been saved in a network common folder, noting all discrepancies. Discrepancies will include but not be limited to missing pages or pages that did not scan legibly. Brings findings of any discrepancies to the attention of the Accounts Payable Supervisor. May be assigned to assist with the initial document scanning. Assists with special projects or other duties in the Accounts Payable function as directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Job Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Basic knowledge of personal computers Skills & Attitudes Required for Success in Job Possess a positive / approachable attitude and be service-oriented. Computer literacy Accuracy Detail-oriented. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Ability to easily communicate in writing and in speech in the English language. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems and communicate with team members or management to reach problem resolution. Able to deal effectively with people. Able to look ahead at upcoming situations and plan accordingly. Communicates well. Informs Supervisor of potential problems clearly and in a timely manner. Asks the necessary questions about assignments. Willing and able to change schedule and routine to meet the needs of the job, the department and the Finance Office. Willing to help in other areas of the Finance Office as needed. Preferred Qualifications General Knowledge of Accounts Payable Processes - would be a plus but is not required.
