Accounting Assistant

Full-Time position in Billings, MT.

Friday Hours:

Generally 8:00am - 4:00pm

Job Objective:

Assist the Accounting Manager to provide a smooth, organized, and functional department.

Education:

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. College Accounting Degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum of three (3) years accounting experience required. Working knowledge of IBM 36 or AS-400 preferred. Ten key by touch required. Must be self-motivated and work with little or no supervision.

Job Duties:

Keep all accounts and files up-to-date and records accurate. Verify and process fuel tickets and invoices. Data entry and input of vendor invoices. Assist in timely and accurate weekly vendor payments process. Processing and billing of customer invoices. Coding and computer input of revenue invoices. Data entry and posting of all standard general journal entries. Prepare monthly FedEx fuel reports. Correspondence with vendors. Assist Accounting Manager with monthly Fed Ex accrual reporting.
