We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to manage daily sales postings and oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable across multiple shop locations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting store operations, and ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast‑paced service business, understands repair order workflows, and can manage multiple locations with consistency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Daily Sales & Repair Order Posting Post daily sales from multiple auto repair locations based on closed repair orders. Verify sales accuracy including labor, parts, core charges, and core credits. Maintain and track core charges and returns accurately. Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and electronic payments. Identify and resolve discrepancies with service advisors or managers. Scan daily sales and email invoices to NAPA and Carquest for payment. Accounts Receivable (AR) • Administer accounts for large corporate clients and communicate detailed payment data. Post and file customer invoices related to automotive repair, transmission shipments, and service work in daily batches. Post payments and apply them accurately to open repair orders. Manage customer receivables, including fleet accounts, warranty claims, and charge accounts; follow up on outstanding balances. Monitor aging reports and follow up on past‑due accounts. Coordinate with management on collection efforts and account issues. Accounts Payable (AP) Enter, review, and code vendor invoices (parts suppliers, sublet vendors, utilities, services, etc.) for multiple shop locations. Verify invoices against purchase orders or statements from each location. Schedule and process payments according to vendor terms Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized vendor files and documentation. Verify that all cores have been returned and that core charges have been properly credited. Multi‑Location & General Bookkeeping Duties Maintain separate and/or consolidated records for each shop location, as required. Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Assist with month‑end financial closing and reporting. Maintain organized digital and paper financial records. Communicate regularly with owners, shop managers, vendors, and customers regarding billing and payment questions. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in automotive repair, retail service, or a multi‑location business Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes Experience posting daily sales from point‑of‑sale or shop management systems. Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft BC) preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy across multiple locations Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Clear communication skills and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Experience with auto repair shop software (Mitchell 1 preferred). Understanding of parts vendors, sublet repairs, and warranty billing. Familiarity with multi‑location reporting. Associate degree or coursework in Accounting or Finance. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to analyze and resolve accounting issues independently in the absence of management. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities while maintaining confidentiality of financial information. Work Schedule & Environment Full-time Standard business hours; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch Private office‑based position with regular interaction with shop managers and owners Periodic travel between shop locations may be required Flexible hours may be needed during month‑end and year‑end close
