Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Full-Charge Bookkeeper for a full-time opportunity with a growing local firm! Key Responsibilities:

Perform monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliations for multiple entities Process payroll for multiple clients with varying payroll schedules Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax reports for multiple states Complete year-end bookkeeping closeouts Assist with preparation of tax workpapers for assigned accounts Maintain accuracy, organization, and compliance across all assigned tasks

Qualifications & Requirements:

Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, double-entry accounting, and general bookkeeping processes Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience Accounting degree or certificate preferred Thorough knowledge of payroll laws and willingness to stay current on payroll tax changes Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Excel Ability to problem-solve and work independently Strong time-management skills with ownership over productivity and deadlines High attention to detail, especially with payroll-related work, including use of internal controls when appropriate Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with a team Overtime may be required at times to meet deadlines

Compensation & Benefits:
