Job Description Summary:
The Disbursements Specialist
  • Accounts Payable, processes invoices for payment, taking discounts when allowed, works with materials and the vendor to resolve invoice discrepancies, follows through on credit invoices to ensure resolve, and monitors vendors/invoices for 1099 taxability. A high school diploma is the minimal educational requirement for this position, with three
  • five years of related experience. The Disbursements Specialist
  • Accounts Payable, is under the general direction of the Accounts Payable Manager and works Monday
  • Friday 8:00 a.m.
  • 4:30 p.
m. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Process invoices for payments taking discounts when allowed. Works with materials and the vendor to resolve invoice discrepancies. Ensures vendor discrepancies are resolved and credits are recovered from vendors. Monitors vendors/invoices for 1099 taxability. Batches and distributes checks as assigned. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Requires high school diploma.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION
None required.
EXPERIENCE
Accounts payable processes as acquired with three
  • five years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Requires basic office skills, ability to type accurately, efficiently use calculator, and basic computer skills.
