Full Job Description Job Title:
Associate Professional (AP)Job Summary The Associate Professional (AP) supports the Qualified Professional (QP) in overseeing daily operations of the group home. The AP ensures quality care, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and continuity of services for residents. This role serves as a key leadership position and acts as the QP in their absence. Key Responsibilities Program & Resident Support Assist in implementing and monitoring individual service plans, treatment plans, and goals Ensure residents receive care consistent with agency policies and licensing requirements Respond to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral situations as needed Support resident admissions, discharges, and transitions Staff Supervision & Support Supervise direct care staff during assigned shifts Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, and call-outs Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback Support onboarding and training of new staff Ensure proper documentation and shift reports are completed accurately and on time Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies Review daily logs, incident reports, medication documentation, and required records Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action plans Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Operational Support Support the QP with administrative and operational duties Communicate effectively with families, guardians, case managers, and external partners Assist with supply management and ensuring a safe, clean living environment Step in as acting Qualified Professional when required
Qualifications :
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Master's degree in a Human Services field and less than 1 year of post-graduate
MH/DD/SUD
experience; or Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field and less than 2 years of post-bachelor's
MH/DD/SUD
experience; or Bachelor's degree in a non-Human Services field and less than 4 years of post-bachelor's
MH/DD/SUD
experience; or Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina and less than 4 years of
MH/DD/SUD
experience. Required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or youth Valid Child and Adult CPR/First Aid certification Valid Deescalation Training Strong documentation and organizational skills Valid Drivers License Skills & Competencies Leadership and staff support Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Crisis management and decision-making Attention to detail and compliance-focused Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations Work Environment Residential group home setting May involve physical activity, lifting, and crisis intervention Rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities may apply
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
