Full-Time Position Description & Details Are you passionate about helping studentsbuild strong financial futures? Bismarck State College is seeking an engaging and student-focused Assistant Professor of Accounting &Finance to join our team. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys combining real-world expertise with hands-on teaching to preparestudents for dynamic careers in business and finance. What You'll Do Responsibilities include supportingstudent success through instruction in accounting and finance courses, including different levels of accounting, taxation, financialstatement reporting and analysis, non-profit accounting, auditing, and risk management. The successful candidate will help prepare studentsfor careers in accounting, financial analysis, financial planning, banking, investments, auditing, and stockbroking.
Additionalresponsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality classroom instruction in accounting and finance courses. Developingand maintaining relevant, industry-aligned curriculum. Mentoring and advising students to support academic and professionalsuccess. Assessing student learning outcomes and supporting continuous program improvement. Collaborating with colleagues,community partners, and industry professionals. Supporting internships and experiential learning opportunities. Assistingwith accreditation efforts, recruitment, retention, and departmental record keeping. Participating in institutional service throughcommittee work and campus involvement. Engaging in scholarly research, professional development, and community outreach. Performing other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Academic Division Dean. What We're LookingFor We're looking for a collaborative and innovative educator with strong communication skills, a passion for studentsuccess, and a commitment to academic excellence. Industry experience in accounting, finance, banking, auditing, investments, or relatedfields is highly valued.

QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Accounting or a Master's degree in Business, Business Administration, or Management with a Bachelor's degree inAccounting or a Master's degree with at least 15 graduate credits in Accounting or a Master's degree in Business/Business Administration anda CPA license or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, or Management with a current CPA license and 5+ yearsof finance industry involvement and/or related work experience. Documented successful experience teaching accounting and financecourses. Documented successful experience with recruiting collegiate students. Documented successful collegiate teachingexperience. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and ability to work as a team member. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate and support the polytechnic philosophy with a strong commitment toteaching and learning in a polytechnic setting. Good working knowledge of computer software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, email& electronic calendar - Outlook). Creative in using a variety of teaching resources, media, and instructional technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
DBA or other appropriate doctorate. Higher educationteaching experience in different modalities, traditional, online, hybrid. Experience with curriculumdevelopment. Experience with hands-on teaching methods.

Nine-month full-timetenure track exempt position.
