Grand Forks, Fargo or Bismarck, ND We're excited to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to our accounting team at AE2S. The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays an important part in keeping AE2S financially healthy and running smoothly. Why does the role of Accounts Receivable Specialist role matter? Simply put, you'll support accurate project setup, billing, and invoicing to keep things on schedule. You'll also help provide coverage and continuity when team members are out—making you a key part of the accounting team! Responsibilities Project Setup & Billing Set up new projects in the accounting system, validate billing terms against contract requirements, and coordinate with legal on any special billing conditions. Prepare and distribute customer invoices ranging from routine to complex billing types. Serve as a liaison between Project Managers and clients to resolve invoice questions, corrections, and adjustments. Accounts Receivable Management Maintain accurate client account records in the accounting system and prepare and distribute customer statements. Communicate with clients regarding billing and invoice questions, without high-volume collection. Upload or enter billing-related usage information in accounting system. Audit & Documentation Support Assist with internal and external audit requests related to invoices, customer accounts, and accounts receivable records. Compile and distribute monthly financial and project reports for Project Managers and senior leadership. Complete vendor applications as requested by clients. Basic Requirements 5 years of accounts receivable experience, billing, or accounting support. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to research and utilize internal/external databases. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting or related field. Experience working in an engineering or professional services firm. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and/or EleVia products/modules. Experience with administrative or usage-based data entry (mileage, vehicle, IT, or aircraft logs). Experience invoicing multi-state sales tax and supporting sales tax compliance.
