Job Description

The Laconia Water Department is seeking someone to fill our Accounting Clerk position at our Union Avenue office. This is a multi-faceted position dealing with the financial aspects of our department as well as the day-to-day interactions with the public and customers. Examples of duties that will be required are as follows: processing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, processing of water and sewer payments, answering phones and assisting customers coming into the office, etc.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, customer service, general office work, or related field.
  • Prior experience, specifically accounts payable and receivable, processing utility payments, etc. are recommended
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data contained in reports and ledgers
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience The salary range is $22.
58 - $28.59 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, year-round position, with benefit package.
