Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the dealership by ensuring accurate processing of payables, timely collection of receivables, and maintaining precise financial records. Automotive dealership experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong accounting backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Post customer payments, including cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers Monitor receivable balances and follow up on outstanding accounts Prepare and submit bank deposits Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments to resolve billing issues Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Qualifications:
2+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting experience preferred Automotive dealership experience is a strong plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with dealership management systems (CDK) is a plus Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
