Accounts Receivable Coordinator, Neptune NJ Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator who enjoys solving payment issues, managing collections, and ensuring customer accounts remain up to date? Do you thrive in a fast-paced accounting environment where accuracy and customer communication are equally important? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to support the Accounting Department and contribute to the organization's financial success. This Accounts Receivable Coordinator role works closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager and other internal departments to maintain efficient billing and collection processes. Responsibilities of the
Accounts Receivable Coordinator:
As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will: Process and apply customer payments received through checks, credit cards, ACH transactions, and wire transfers. Prepare bank deposits and ensure all cash receipts are posted accurately and timely. Manage collections activities by reviewing aging reports and following up on outstanding balances. Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, including short payments, unapplied cash, and credit balances. Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, account balances, and billing concerns. Monitor customer accounts for delinquent payments and work proactively to reduce outstanding receivables. Generate and maintain reports related to collections, aging, reconciliations, and account activity. Partner with Sales, Operations, and Management teams to support accurate billing and account settlements. Maintain availability to work Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Accounts Receivable Coordinator:
The ideal Accounts Receivable Coordinator will have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or a related accounting function. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to analyze account activity and accurately process financial transactions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Experience supporting process improvements within accounts receivable or collections operations is a plus. Compensation and Benefits for the
