Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Specialist and become a vital contributor to our company's financial health! In this energetic role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining compliance with financial standards and internal controls. Your expertise will help streamline operations, support cross-department collaboration, and uphold the integrity of our financial data. Duties Process and verify high volumes of invoices using various accounting software such as GoFlow, and QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Reconcile accounts payable transactions regularly to ensure consistency with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain detailed records of all payments, invoices, and related documentation in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Collaborate with vendors, internal departments, and auditors to resolve billing issues or payment inquiries efficiently. Prepare journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Assist in month-end closing processes by providing accurate data entry and account reconciliation support. Support benefits administration and payroll management tasks when necessary . Experience Proven experience in accounts payable functions. Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation. Hands-on experience with financial software is highly preferred. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and experience working with audit teams is a plus. Familiarity with governmental accounting standards or non-profit accounting is advantageous. Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for account reconciliation and data entry accuracy. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced and highly automated setting.
