Immediately Position Overview:
Homeowners Association (HOA) management company is seeking a hardworking, detailed oriented individual who excels in customer service. Candidate must have a proactive and positive attitude. Individual shall perform accounting functions and support the accounting team by processing A/R daily, collections and completing required information for all home resales. The ideal candidate must possess accounting knowledge and is experienced with financial systems and GAAP. Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records for homeowner accounts. This includes tracking incoming payments, issuing statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of HOA dues and fees.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record all incoming payments from homeowners via various channels (check, ACH, credit card, etc.) Prepare and distribute monthly statements, invoices, and late notices Monitor homeowner accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, or other irregularities and prepare the account to be sent to collections Communicate (verbally and via email) with homeowners regarding their accounts, payment plans, or billing issues Reconcile payments against the general ledger and bank statements Maintain and update accurate homeowner account records in the HOA management software Collaborate with Community Managers and the Board of Directors regarding delinquent accounts, payment disputes, and/or payment plans Prepare reports on accounts receivable status for the board and accounting team Maintain deposits and records of all cash receipts Assist with audits, budget preparations, and annual financial reviews Answering and responding to telephone calls from homeowners and Board members Responding to all emails and other forms of communications within 24 business hours
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general bookkeeping Experience with HOA accounting or property management is a plus Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, TOPS, AppFolio, or similar) Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Process delinquent accounts to be sent to collections
Work Environment:
Office-based position
Full Time:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (with a 1-hour lunch daily) Salary and General
    Salary:
    $38,500.00 annually
