Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting division is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. If you are a self-starter with high attention to detail, you will be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, which handles 200+ invoices a week. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Sparks, Nevada area.

Your responsibilities

• Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers
• Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
• Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
• Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues
• Verify documents and codes
• Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
• Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP
