Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing team in Garden City, New York. In this Contract-to-hire role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of billing and collections processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Apply cash payments to customer accounts while maintaining precise records.
• Handle billing functions, including the preparation and distribution of invoices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce overdue balances.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial operations.
• Provide regular updates and reports on accounts receivable status to management.
• Support audits and financial reviews by preparing necessary documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts receivable workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
• Strong understanding of cash application processes.
• Proficiency in handling billing functions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
