Job Description

TITLE Accounting Clerk
DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the accounting department. This role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Process accounts payable and cash receipts transactions Enter financial data in accounting systems accurately and timely Prepare and maintain accounts payable invoices Assistant with account reconciliations Maintain organized financial records and files Assist with payroll processing and tax documentation, as needed Support month-end and year-end close activities Ensure that all requests for payment comply with the Business Office Policies & Procedures Manual Assist personnel with accounts payable-related information when needed Responsible for communicating with department heads regarding accounts payable questions Prepare journal entries necessary for account reconciliation, account balance corrections or transfer of funds Serve as backup to other Business/Finance positions and operations Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred 3 years of experience in an accounting related position Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, Great Plains, or similar) a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a term
Compensation:
$24.04 per hour This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.
