$27.00 - $30.00 per hour 26-04819 Job Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting financial operations by processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with audit preparation activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a professional office environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience with accounting software, financial reporting, and accounts payable processes while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Job Responsibilities Process and maintain accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded Reconcile company bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed Analyze financial information and summarize financial status reports Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with annual audit preparation and related financial reporting activities Utilize accounting software to process invoices, payments, and financial data Support compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP standards Work independently to manage daily accounting and administrative responsibilities Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding financial documentation and payment processing Job Requirements High School diploma or GED required; additional accounting coursework preferred Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting functions preferred Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience using accounting software and financial systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to reconcile financial records and bank statements accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Work Experience Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or financial administration preferred Experience assisting with audits and financial reporting activities preferred About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
