Part Time Bookkeeper

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Bookkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for an established automotive repair shop. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. Utilize accounting software (Quickbooks Online) to capture sales, payables and receivables sent from the company's point of sale system. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to guarantee financial accuracy. Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow reports, and budget analyses to support organizational decision-making. Support month-end closing processes by verifying debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure precise financial data. Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, ideally within an automotive repair business. Strong knowledge of accounting principles. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online. Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting efficiently. Excellent understanding of financial concepts like double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial report writing. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial data with accuracy and confidentiality while meeting deadlines.
