Job Description
Description Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity available with growing Melville area company. In office role will have you working amongst a well-established and cohesive accounting team, and in an environment that is positive and welcoming. Responsibilities will include accurate and timely processing of invoices, check runs, and maintaining compliance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will bring over three years of experience in accounts payable and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Manage invoice processing, including coding and data entry into financial systems.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all payable activities.
- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable for management review.
- Monitor deadlines for payments and address any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve billing inquiries.
- Support the implementation of improvements to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable.
- Proficiency in processing invoices, including coding and data entry.
- Familiarity with conducting check runs and managing payment schedules.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- QuickBooks, Excel experience necessary
