Job Description

Full-Cycle Accounting:
Manage AP/AR, process vendor bills and customer invoices daily.
Inventory :
Perform vendor inventory receiving and ensure data integrity between our ECI RockSolid POS and QuickBooks Desktop.
Tax & Compliance:
File and pay Sales Tax and Highway Use Tax (HUT) for our small fleet of trucks.
Payroll & HR:
Execute weekly payroll and manage the annual renewal of company insurance policies.
General Ledger:
Prepare journal entries and maintain a clean set of books for monthly CPA reviews.
Required Skills & Experience QuickBooks Desktop Pro:
You must be highly fluent in the Desktop version.
Tech Savvy:
You are quick and comfortable navigating integrated POS systems (RockSolid experience is a massive plus).
Retail Accounting Knowledge:
You understand the flow of inventory, COGS, and retail sales tax.
Industry Compliance:
Familiarity with (or the ability to quickly learn) Highway Use Tax and fleet-related documentation.

Phoenix Building Products is a long-standing, family-owned and operated supplier of building and mason materials located in New Hyde Park, NY. Having served the Long Island and New York area for over 60 years, the company has established itself as a "one-stop shop" for both professional contractors and homeowners.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
