Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization in New York. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who works independently, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and communicates effectively with both internal teams and customers. The right candidate will bring strong bookkeeping expertise, solid technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
  • Handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Complete bank account reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of general ledger balances on a regular basis.
  • Process payroll and help ensure employee compensation is issued correctly and on schedule.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and support the preparation of depreciation tracking schedules.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing balances and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Prepare trial balance reports and help organize financial data for internal review.
  • Provide guidance to accounting support staff at the entry level and help coordinate day-to-day workflow within the bookkeeping function.
