  • 75,000 annually About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team full-time.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of our business, ensuring accurate record keeping, timely reporting, and strong financial controls across accounts payable, receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, and month-end close. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the accounting process, building efficient systems, and working closely with leadership to support the financial health of a growing company. Key Responsibilities Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable , including invoicing, payment tracking, collections, and vendor payments Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant processors, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly Maintain an accurate general ledger by coding and categorizing daily financial transactions in Xero Assist with payroll processing , including review of employee hours, deductions, and timely payroll coordination Prepare regular financial reports, including: Profit & Loss Statements Balance Sheets Cash Flow Reports Support month-end and year-end close , including journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with tax compliance and filings , including preparation of documents for annual filings and applicable New York State sales tax reporting Maintain organized digital financial records, receipts, and vendor documentation Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, workflows, and financial reporting processes Qualifications Strong working experience with Xero (A plus but not required) 4-5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations experience Experience managing full-cycle AP / AR Strong reconciliation and general ledger experience Familiarity with payroll processes and reporting Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Experience with multi-location businesses, e-commerce, hospitality, or retail businesses is a plus Background Check CLEAR Must have their own Laptop What We're Looking For You are: Organized and proactive Comfortable owning processes end-to-end Strong with numbers and systems Able to communicate clearly with leadership and vendors Someone who takes pride in accuracy and clean books Someone who can work on location in Greenpoint, Brooklyn Compensation $70,000
