Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Jericho, New York. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and can manage complex accounting tasks for multiple entities. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage full charge bookkeeping responsibilities, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are addressed.
- Handle intercompany accounting processes and ensure proper allocation across multiple entities.
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close procedures.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to produce reliable reports for management.
- Utilize QuickBooks to streamline accounting processes and manage financial information efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Requirements
- Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Expertise in bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Solid knowledge of intercompany accounting and journal entries.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage month-end close procedures effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and best practices.
