Bookkeeper

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in bookkeeping software; specifically being . Responsibilities Prepare and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently. Perform payroll processing in accordance with company policies and regulations. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain comprehensive records. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed. Utilize QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and reporting. Perform data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy, including 10 key typing for numerical data. Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Strong understanding of debits and credits, as well as double entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP standards is preferred but not required.
