Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist Etna, OH Our client, a well‑established specialty services contractor, is seeking an Accounting Specialist focused on both receivables and payables to join their close‑knit accounting team. This is an on‑site role offering long‑term stability, strong benefits, and the opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities over time. Key Responsibilities Process accounts receivable including billing, collections, and sales tax compliance Handle accounts payable: vendor invoices, coding, reconciliations, and documentation Work with construction/service billing systems (including backing documentation and compliance requirements) Support multi‑state sales and use tax requirements Reconcile credit card activity and assist with month‑end support Serve as backup support across administrative and accounting functions as needed Ideal Background 3+ years of AP/AR experience within construction or service contracting industry Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Comfortable with varying billing formats and workflows Proficiency with various billing and accounting systems
