Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Property Management team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Experience in real estate or property management accounting is highly preferred. Responsibilities Process high-volume invoices, ensuring proper coding to properties and general ledger accounts. Review, verify, and reconcile vendor statements. Prepare and execute bi-weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate with vendors regarding payment issues. Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and account reconciliations. Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounts payable experience (real estate or property management experience a plus). Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes. Experience with property management systems (e.g., MRI). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience handling multiple entities or properties. Knowledge of 1099 reporting and compliance.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
