The Bookkeeper/Office Manager is a skilled professional with a positive approach and delightful disposition to join our team. Responsible for maintaining financial records and day-to-day office operations, this key role will serve as the primary contact for financial and operational matters and problem-solve while effectively communicating face-to-face, over the phone and/or electronically as required. Will be responsible for completing a variety of office tasks and projects as assigned. Job Descriptions Role and Responsibilities
- Oversees general office maintenance, records management, vending services, office supplies, bank deposits, and mail services.
- Supervises staff including scheduling, vacation requests, and special events.
- Manages firm finances, including, but not limited to, assisting with billing, processing payments, completing attorney registrations, and paying invoices.
- Coordinates payroll and employee benefits.
- Maintains firm filing systems both digital and physical.
- Ensures accurate recordkeeping and distribute information to appropriate internal staff and external parties as needed.
- Assists with monthly and year-end reporting.
- Reconciles bank statements and maintains accurate cash reports.
- Communicates with clients regarding payments and billing matters.
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Bookkeeping and accounting experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and successfully complete tasks with regular interruptions throughout the day Customer-service focus with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees across all levels of the organization Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive) with ability to learn other Company software systems Actively demonstrates confidentiality and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature Preferred experience and skills
- Associate degree or related experience Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
