LOCAL OFFICE ONLY NO WORK FROM HOME.
You will oversee accurate recording of financial transactions, manage payroll processing, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, support budgeting efforts, and facilitate smooth financial reporting. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Word, Excel, or similar platforms. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to ensure data integrity. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly while maintaining detailed records. Handle payroll functions including salary calculations, tax deductions, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant regulations. Assist with governmental accounting requirements and tax filings as needed. Experience Proven experience working QuickBooks, Excel, or similar tools. Detailed and Accurate skills a must Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts. Prior experience in non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus. Knowledge of bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Experience handling payroll processing with attention to detail and confidentiality.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
