Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial principles. Responsibilities Performance of payables for multiple entities: Full-Cycle accounts payable with 3-way matching Preparation of check runs and electronic payments Maintenance of all accounts payable reports and files Assist in month-end closing General Ledger (GL) accruals for payables Process a high volume of invoices, assist with setting payables schedule for clients Review purchase orders and receipts Ensure audit compliance for client payables transactions, as applicable Perform data entry and administrative duties Complete quarterly internal audits of payables documentation Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with customers, both internal and external Provide process improvement recommendations for clients related to their payables systems and functions Requirements Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Clean background checks (FBI and BCI) Associate's Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred) in accounting, finance, or a related field Excellent listening, written, and oral communication, organizational, and time-management skills Possess knowledge and experience in use of computer software programs Professional etiquette to staff & clients
