Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general direction of the Director of Finance and Human Resources, the Accounting Specialist provides assistance with the maintenance of financial records, payroll processing, obtaining purchase orders, accounts payable, monthly account reconciliation and assists with financial reports. The position encompasses a wide variety of day-to-day budgetary responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates Degree Experience Preferred. Government Accounting Experience Preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in budgeting and financial reporting. Advanced computer skills using PC-based software and hardware (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). An equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable. Knowledge of bookkeeping /accounting practices and procedures.
