Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a manufacturing company in Youngstown, Ohio for a 3-week Contract assignment. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations by handling high-volume invoice and purchase order entry with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing routine financial documents in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system while maintaining consistent data quality.
- Record and process purchase order information to support timely accounts payable activities.
- Examine invoices and related documents to confirm all required details are complete and correct before entry.
- Organize and maintain payable records so documentation is easy to retrieve and audit.
- Support the accounting team with routine administrative tasks connected to invoice handling and payment preparation. Requirements
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting support, clerical finance, or high-volume data entry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in financial documents.
- Basic computer proficiency and confidence working within data entry or accounting systems.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and complete assignments within established deadlines.
- Dependable attendance and availability to work the full 3-week Contract assignment.
- Familiarity with invoice coding, invoice processing, check runs, or related accounts payable tasks is an advantage.
