Job Description
Responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records, fact checking financial data and updating financial statements. The bookkeeper will ensure accounts are current and accurate, using specialized software, spreadsheets and other tools to track and manage data. Will track all income and expenditures for the company.
Essential Functions:
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Secures financial information by completing data base backups. Maintains financial security by following internal controls. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Travel:
No overnight travel is expected for this position. There may be occasional local day travel.Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience in Medical Practice Bookkeeping (Pain Management a plus).
- Preferred BA degree in business, accounting, math or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills.
- Well-organized and detail oriented.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Familiarity with a wide range of financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
