Full Job Description Position Overview:
Invictus Healthcare System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AR Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for accurate payment posting, insurance follow-up, denial resolution, and maintaining the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial and government payers, including Indian Health Services (IHS), and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely Review and reconcile EOBs/ERAs Perform insurance follow-up on outstanding claims (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and IHS) Identify, research, and resolve denied or underpaid claims Investigate and respond to payer recoupment requests, including appealing and supporting documentation to prevent inappropriate takebacks Analyze payment trends to proactively identify and challenge incorrect payer behavior Work aging reports and maintain AR within target benchmarks Resolve unapplied payments and credits Communicate effectively with payers and internal teams to resolve issues Assist with patient account inquiries as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of medical AR, billing, or posting experience (specialty care preferred) Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, including Indian Health Services (IHS) Experience with Intergy EHR preferred Knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, denial codes, and claim lifecycle Experience handling recoupments, takebacks, and appeals strongly preferred High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently

Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
