ABOUT US
Furnish Hope's story traces back to October 2018 when Founder and Executive Director Megan Martin, took a step of faith despite the trying circumstances her family had recently overcome. The vision was to bring hope to local families restarting a home by providing basic essentials at no cost. This began a journey to start furnishing homes in March of 2019 that would far exceed the original vision. Rooted in the belief that leading in love is the best way to live out their faith and that nobody should feel shame due to their circumstances, Furnish Hope established Central Oregon's only furniture bank, one that would grow to serve all three counties of Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is onsite and works from Furnish Hope's office in Bend, Oregon. The Bookkeeper & Admin Coordinator works closely with the Development Manager and Executive Assistant in a shared office environment, supporting the day-to-day operations. This role is typically scheduled for approximately 15 hours per week. However, hours may fluctuate throughout the year based on organizational needs and seasonal demands. During major fundraising campaigns, special events, year-end reporting, budget development, and other key organizational initiatives, additional hours may be required. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to changing workloads throughout the year.

JOB SUMMARY
This position provides bookkeeping, administrative, reporting, and compliance support for Furnish Hope. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting organizational reporting requirements, tracking key compliance deadlines, and assisting with a variety of administrative functions that help the organization fulfill its mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with financial data and technology, enjoys interacting with people, and takes pride in supporting a mission-driven team. They are eager to learn, open to coaching and feedback, and motivated to continuously improve systems and processes that support the organization's mission. RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Management & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and other organizational systems. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Record deposits, donations, and other financial activity. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Assist with monthly financial reporting and documentation. Support annual budgeting, audit preparation, and tax filing processes. Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and organized. Administrative Support Perform data entry and maintain organizational databases and records. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for leadership and board reporting. Assist with filing, record retention, and document management. Support organizational projects and administrative initiatives as assigned. Maintain accurate records related to donors, volunteers, vendors, and organizational operations. Compliance & Organizational Stewardship Track and manage annual, quarterly, and recurring compliance requirements. Coordinate insurance renewals, business licensing, registrations, and related documentation. Work collaboratively with external accountants, insurance providers, vendors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Office & Customer Service Support Respond professionally to inquiries from constituents.
REQUIREMENTS

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Customer service and phone experience. Ability to identify operational gaps, create solutions, and implement improvements to systems, organization, and workflow. Ability to work with diverse populations, communicate effectively, and remain flexible and adaptable to the needs of the supervisor and the mission.
