POSITION SUMMARY
The AP Specialists responsibility is to provide exceptional service to our vendors, assisting them in getting prompt payments. When the vendor is satisfied, it helps get product to our customers in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Excellent Vendor communication and partnering via phone and email
  • Maintain Vendor files in system and spreadsheet
  • Verify authorization on any non-PO invoice
  • Code and enter all invoices as required
  • Generate weekly payment selection , process approved selections
  • Run discount selections daily to maximize capture of all available discounts.
  • Match invoices to checks for review & signature
  • Mailing/ distribution of checks
  • AP filing and scanning
  • Review Vendor statements for missing invoices or potential problems.
  • Review files for duplicate or unmatched invoices and receiving, resolve as appropriate
  • Perform AP Close in system, run, save and distribute reports as required
  • Review AP reports for potential problems
  • Cross Training to other Accounting positions to cover vacations and illnesses.
  • Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly requires sitting, standing, stairs and moving about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. In person in office full time position. Drug testing Pre-employment and randoms
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Experienced 1-2 years of work experience
  • Microsoft Office , previous experience with some form of ERP software and other office equipment
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written),
  • Ability to work well with others,
  • Self-motivated,
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment,
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
