Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Salem, Oregon. This role involves managing key financial processes, including billing, project draws, and financial reporting, with a focus on construction accounting. If you have experience with Procore or Sage construction software, it will be a strong advantage, though not required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of billing and project draws for various construction projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using appropriate accounting software.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports and statements to support project and business needs.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage construction-related costs and budgets.
- Utilize Procore software for billing and project management, if applicable.
- Work with Sage or other construction accounting systems to manage financial data, if required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with construction accounting practices and project cost management.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Procore or Sage being a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- A commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in financial processes.
