Full Charge Bookkeeper Clutch Industries Inc. — Salem/Keizer, Oregon Full-time | On-site | $62,000-$85,000 DOE + benefits About Clutch Industries Clutch Industries is a vertically integrated construction and development company headquartered in Salem, Oregon, with active operations in Phoenix, Arizona. We operate four distinct business divisions: Commercial Building — ground-up construction and commercial projects Allure Microsalons — nationwide salon suite developments Multi-Family Construction — apartment and multi-unit residential builds Land Development — entitlement, subdivision, and rental cottage projects With approximately $20M in annual revenue and a tight, high-output team, we move fast and expect the same from the people we hire. This is not a corporate seat. You will have direct visibility to ownership and real ownership of the books. The Role We are hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting across all four Clutch divisions and our related entities. This person will run our books from transactions through trial balance, deliver financial reports our COO and CPA actually rely on, and keep multiple construction projects clean from a job costing standpoint. This is a hands-on, full-cycle role. You will not be supervised line by line. We need someone who can walk in, take the wheel, and tell us when something looks off. This is a full time position located in our Salem, OR office. What You Will Own Daily Operations Full-cycle AP and AR across multiple entities Bank, credit card, and loan account reconciliations (monthly) Job costing and WIP schedules for active construction projects AIA-style billing and progress invoicing on commercial jobs Lien waivers, subcontractor compliance, and pay-app processing Vendor management, COI tracking, and 1099 preparation Payroll & Compliance Multi-state payroll processing (Oregon and Arizona) Certified payroll reporting on applicable projects Quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, W-2s, 1099s Sales tax, business license, and CCB-related filings Reporting & Month-End Month-end close across all entities Profit & loss by division, by project, and consolidated Balance sheet reconciliation and intercompany cleanup Cash flow reporting and weekly cash position updates to the COO Coordinate with outside CPA on tax prep, year-end, and audits Construction Loan Administration Track construction loan draws, interest reserves, and disbursements Reconcile draw requests against budgets and pay applications Maintain loan covenant compliance documentation What You Bring Required 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience Construction industry experience (job costing, WIP, AIA billing, lien waivers) Advanced QuickBooks proficiency — Online and/or Desktop Multi-entity bookkeeping experience (managing books for related companies) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling) Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual vs. cash accounting Ability to work independently and flag issues without being asked Strongly Preferred Experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction PM software Multi-state payroll experience (Oregon + Arizona a major plus) Familiarity with LIHTC, conduit bond, or affordable housing finance Prior experience with commercial real estate or development entities Notary public (or willingness to become one) Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $62,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience
