Position Overview The Bookkeeper plays a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations, with responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and Representative Payee (Rep Payee) services. This position ensures accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and responsible management of client funds. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role operates with a high level of accountability while collaborating closely with the broader office team. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the Bookkeeper provides backup administrative support, including front desk coverage, and contributes to a professional, responsive, and well-coordinated workplace environment. Duties Financial Operations (AP/AR/Payroll)
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely completion: manage invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances; process payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, accuracy of records, and timely distribution; maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and best practices.
Representative Payee (Rep Payee) Services
  • Manage client financial accounts in accordance with Rep Payee requirements and regulations; assist clients with budgeting and timely bill payment; maintain accurate records and documentation related to client funds and transactions; ensure compliance, accountability, and confidentiality in all client financial matters. Financial Systems & Accuracy
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain financial data, generate reports, and support financial tracking; reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner; support financial reporting and provide information as needed to leadership or external partners. Administrative & Team Support
  • Provide backup support for front desk operations, including answering phones and greeting visitors; assist with general office tasks and administrative needs as required; collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Qualifications QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification required

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar role. Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Experience working with confidential financial information. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to obtain required clearances.
