Bookkeeper

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. This contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing financial operations. Initially part-time, this role offers potential for growth and eventual long-term opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee high-volume accounts payable processes, including performing detailed 3-way matching between purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and address missing inventory concerns.
• Take ownership of month-end closing procedures, ensuring draft financials are prepared by the 10th and finalized statements by the 15th of each month.
• Handle daily cost allocation activities and conduct monthly inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger schedules and accurately record payroll.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual transactions.
• Support inventory management by tracking and allocating costs
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
