Job Description

A freight organization in the East of Pittsburgh is in need of a Accounting Clerk. The position temporary to hire! Start times are between 7am or 8pm-40 hours a week. The position is 100% onsite. The Accounting Clerk would be responsible for the following duties:
  • Process and code vendor invoices and employee expense reports with accuracy
  • Generate and distribute client invoices in a timely manner
  • Post incoming payments (check/ACH), prepare bank deposits, and process weekly check runs
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure accurate records
  • Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Maintain organized vendor files and detailed financial documentation
  • Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries related to AP
  • Support audit requests by gathering and providing required reports and backup
