We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, helping to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Essential Functions Accounts Receivable:
Assist in the management of accounts receivable tasks including researching discrepancies, collections, and processing incoming payments.
Accounts Payable:
Assist in the management of accounts payable tasks including entry of vendor invoices, preparation of checks and wires, and ensuring proper documentation from both internal and external sources.
General Support:
Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
Data Entry/Record Keeping:
Enter and maintain organized and up-to-date financial records both within and outside of the accounting software. All other duties assigned. Knowledge and Skills Conscientious, professional, and highly motivated. Detail-oriented. Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and collaboratively, within a team environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a positive and timely manner while producing a high-quality work product. Previous experience in law firms or other service industry preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Proficient with accounting and billing software. Requirements Required Education and experience Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over individuals. This position does have supervisory responsibility over the processes and procedures established by the Finance Committee. Travel required Occasional travel to business locations.
