  • Part-time Overview Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial team!
This energetic role offers the opportunity to manage all bookkeeping functions with precision and enthusiasm, ensuring our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for. Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections. Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial accuracy. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting requirements. Generate detailed financial reports and assist in budgeting and financial analysis to support practice growth. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger management. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations related to healthcare or dental practices is a plus. Familiarity with financial concepts like debits & credits, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently. Ability to communicate financial information clearly through written reports and verbal explanations. Prior experience in non-profit or healthcare-related accounting is advantageous but not required.
