Job Description

Location Newtown Athletic Club Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the accounting and financial operations across multiple businesses, with a primary focus on real estate. This role is primarily responsible for bookkeeping and financial administration, while also assisting with property operations, leasing support, and basic property marketing. You will work closely with ownership to manage day-to-day financial workflows, maintain accurate records, and help support operations across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, as well as related business entities. This is an ideal role for someone with an accounting or finance background who wants hands-on exposure to real estate while supporting multiple interconnected businesses in an entrepreneurial environment. Accounting & Financial Support (Primary Focus) Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations Code transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy Track rent collections, security deposits, and outstanding balances Process accounts payable and assist with vendor payments Maintain organized digital records for invoices, receipts, and contracts Support monthly close and basic financial reporting Prepare schedules such as rent rolls, AR/AP summaries, and cash tracking Help keep property-level financials organized and up to date Property Operations & Leasing Support (Secondary) Assist with tenant onboarding, move-ins, and move-outs Track leases, renewals, and deposits Schedule showings and assist with applications Prepare lease documents and onboarding materials Maintain organized property and tenant files Position Requirements Qualifications 1+ years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or operations (real estate a plus) Comfortable working with numbers and financial systems (QuickBooks experience strongly preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient with Excel / Google Sheets and Google Workspace Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow established processes Clear written and verbal communication Professional, reliable, and proactive mindset Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time and/or Part-Time EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
