This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description An Addison Group Client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join a growing team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their skill set, gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions, and contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced finance team.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate payment in accordance with company policies Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including purchase order matching, coding, and approval workflows Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with internal and external audits as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes and workflows
Experience:
2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software and experience with Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
