Job Summary:
Key player involved with financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting on month-end closing processes. Individual will also contribute to budgeting and audit coordination while maintaining strong internal controls and financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
Key Roles:
Financial Reporting & Analysis Month-End Closing Budgeting Internal Controls & Compliance Manage Inventory Accounting Coordination of Annual Audit Essential Duties:
Accounting journal entries/transactions supporting business operations and month-end closing. Maintain and reconcile inventory accounting. Process and manage wire and ACH disbursements. Post cash receipts and process bank deposits. Manage daily positive pay process. Complete right of use asset and liability calculations. Proficient understanding and ability to process FET payments and filings. Proficient understanding and ability to process state sales tax payments. Sustain and enhance integrity of company financial processes and records through collaboration on the internal audit function. Assist with the collection of data required for year-end audit and tax returns. Prepare & analyze monthly financial reports on expenses and inventory. Ability to apply accounting expertise as a trusted advisor with business operations. Maintain accounting controls; prepare and make recommendations on policies, procedures, and process improvements. Assist in implementing Power BI analysis within the finance and accounting department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail, able to sustain a high degree of accounting accuracy and work quality. Committed to achieving responsibilities and meeting monthly closing schedules. Must be proactive in addressing and solving problems. Work performed is to be done with professional standards. Individual must have a pro-active, continuous improvement mindset. Strong interpersonal skills and display a professional attitude toward customers and team.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 2-3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or CMA certification is desired but not required, or pursuit of certification in progress. Power BI experience is desired but not required.
Physical Environments:
Maintain a clean and organized work area and professional appearance. Ability to operate a personal computer and other basic office equipment. The noise level is quiet to moderate at times in an office setting with sitting and/or standing.
