OVERVIEW OF THE AP SPECIALIST ROLE

The Accounts Payable Specialist will handle day-to-day AP operations, support vendor communications, and assist with month-end close activities. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.

AP SPECIALIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process and code invoices received through the AP inbox The AP Specialist will prepare ACH payments and assist with general ledger reconciliations Support credit card expense processing Respond to vendor and internal inquiries Assist with month-end close and grant-related documentation as needed

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE AP SPECIALIST ROLE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience 2+ years of accounts payable experience Experience with accounting software systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
