Job Description

Overview The Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization is looking for an experienced full charge bookkeeper to assist in managing all accounting and finance requirements. This candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong financial acumen and experience in various accounting priniciples. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position. The successful candidate for this position will be a highly organized, detail-oriented, skilled multitasker who has experience across both AP and AR, and a thorogh understanding of accounting and bookkeeping practices. Requirements Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel experience is a must along with the ability to handle confidential data and other information discreetly. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping systems and financial reporting. At least five years experience in bookkeeping, advanced computer skills, including database management, excel spreadsheets and similar functions. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working with non-profit / voluntary organizations and people with disabilities is also preferred. Responsibilities Manage all accounts receivable and payables, maintain general ledger, create financial statements, and, with the Executive Director, the annual budget. Provide monthly reconciliation of all financial accounts and activities. Track all income and expenses for programming, events, fundraising activities, grant funded activities, restricted fund accounts, investment and resrve accounts. Manage billing and financial reports for all public and private grants and contracts. Perform and prove all bank deposits.
