Job Overview:
The overall purpose of the Accounting Assistantposition is to provide support to accounting department personnel with a focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and compliance. This position reports to the Accounting Manager position. Position Specifics Please recognize this position is pivotal to the department and requires daily focused attention.

The specific day-to-day duties may include but is not limited to: Accounts Receivable Support Check in the pick tickets daily and review any discrepancies. Store list proofing and updating new addresses:
SAP, TRUE/SPS COMMERCE, DC
splits and Store Locator. (Excludes items related to commissions) Return customer phone calls to process credit card payments. Basic set up of new dealers/customers (excludes items related to commissions) Proof new customer set up and verify any changes. Long term goal is to serve as back up for the AR desk Accounts Payable Support Coding freight bills 1099 prep work Compliance Support Assemble New Dealer Packet yearly for NSM (National Sales Meeting). Reach out to customers with address corrections/ collect account rebills, rebill AAEFES. Be accountable for COIs (Certificates of Insurance) Credit Support Monthly customer statement generation/distribution Monthly sales rep. aging generation/distribution Check in of daily picks. Non-defective B2C returns processing. Provide PODs (proof of deliveries) General Department Support Assist with Summit report proofing. Assist documenting procedures. Adhere to all policies defined in the Seirus Employee Handbook Provide honest feedback on performance as it pertains to performance reviews. Performs other related duties as assigned. General Department Support Back-up the receptionist on phone coverage
Job Requirements:
Authorized to work in the US. Comfortable with taking directions from multiple teammates. Previous experience in office environment Professional and customer-friendly attitude Punctual to job and meetings Open communicator/transparent Reliable and trustworthy. Average Excel skills Comfortable working on computer either remotely or in office Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Average analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
