Position Type:

Temporary Our client in the Glens Falls, NY area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule , with remote work available two days a week. Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist will include: Process customer payments and apply them accurately and promptly to accounts Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices efficiently and accurately Post sales tax credits , maintain exemption forms , and update customer accounts Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status professionally Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate ERP system records Support credit and collections activities as needed Assist with accounts payable processing, statement reconciliation, and payment preparation Review, post, and reconcile general accounting transactions Maintain organized financial records and documentation Support daily accounting operations and assist with special projects as assigned Qualifications for the role of

Accounting Specialist:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or finance support preferred Familiarity with invoicing, reconciliations, and general accounting practices Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
