We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Technician (AP/AR) to join our team in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Reporting directly to the On-Site Accounting Manager, this position plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our Prudhoe Bay location. Why Colville? About the Role The Accounting Technician (AP/AR) is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organization, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable. This position manages customer billing, collections, account reconciliations, and customer communications while also assisting with Accounts Payable and general accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Maintain customer billing systems and records Generate invoices, statements, and customer reports Monitor aging reports and assist with collections activities Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries Maintain accurate customer account information Accounts Payable Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals Process payments in a timely manner Respond to vendor inquiries Assist with vendor account reconciliations Financial Reporting & Reconciliation Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies Assist with month-end closing activities Support audit preparation and documentation requests Prepare reports and provide information to management as needed Travel & Administrative Support Coordinate employee travel arrangements, including airline reservations Communicate schedule updates with camp billeting personnel Perform general administrative and office support duties Answer phones, file records, and maintain documentation Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures Support a safe and productive work environment Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial records What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (relevant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of education) Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with 10-key data entry Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience with Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems Experience in oil and gas, mining, transportation, construction, or related industries Familiarity with North Slope operations and remote workforce support Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Join Our Team If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your career with a company that values Family, Safety, and Agility, we'd love to hear from you.
